The Horton Farmers Market re-opened this weekend and we dropped by mid-market to chat with folks about how the first market day of 2020 was going.
We chatted first with Dora Foster, the Manager of the Horton Farmers’ Market, and then touched base with Petrusia Hontar from Relish, a local food experience organization that is helping to organize market volunteers (you can sign up here: https://www.facebook.com/318807712401317/posts/563611931254226/?sfnsn=mo).
Lori Baldwin Sands, who was volunteering and is also the Chair of the Market Board as well as a City Councillor, talked about how she is looking forward to having even more vendors and customers next week.
It was great to see how much the vendors brought and how well the customers were following the sanitation and social distancing protocols! Looking forward to next week!
