The Mayor’s Update Live – Aug 25, 2020

Thanks Joe Preston – Mayor ST.Thomas Ontario for chatting with us today.

Want to star next to an A-List celebrity? Our municipal leaders are putting a plan together to bring more big budget film productions to Southwestern Ontario.

Are there any jobs in the city? Some of our viewers have stated that they don’t believe there are so we asked the Mayor and the unequivocal answer is yes – there are a lot of jobs available for anyone that wants or is able to work.

Transit Update? Plan to purchase zero-emission vehicles for St. Thomas is moving ahead. More details to come.

Southwestern Public Health will hopefully come to St. Thomas City Council with a proposal for the needle program in early in September. Maybe even by the 8th when council reconvenes.

The kids are going back to school. What will this look like? What are our Mayor’s thoughts. Only by watching this video will you find out!

Congrats to Mayor Joe on running his Wendy’s Franchise for 30 years in St. Thomas and for being with Wendy’s for 42 years!

Also, special shout out to Mayor Joe and his management and staff at Wendy’s who made their washrooms available to Transit workers while other bathrooms were not available to them during the COVID-19 pandemic.
