We dropped by the Cultivate Virtual Farmers’ Market at the Talbot Teen Centre last Thursday to see how their first pick up day was going. Vicki Asher, the manager at the Talbot Teen Centre, explained the logistics and the teens (Andie and Darien) we interviewed said the experience was difficult, but exciting, and definitely a learning opportunity. They are also stoked to be able to help the local economy.
Andie and Darien are also working on an article for Hometown St. Thomas Magazine / Boomers & Beyond ELGIN Magazine about the market – so watch for that.
You can still put in an order for this week’s pickup until just before midnight tonight.
Special thanks to Rosy from the St. Thomas Public Library for giving us permission to use the photo she posted of her haul from last week!
