For the first time since it started six years ago, Common Ground farm is opening its doors to an outdoor music festival. While the event will include all the makings of a good ol’ fashioned community picnic (think fresh food, kids’ activities, & pie auction), the main focus is the music. The lineup includes some of the most impressive local talent from folk and rock roots. The line-up includes Greg Smith, The Shangles, The Pairs, Tim Bradford and the Bandits, and Harrow Fair.

Ain’t no farm party without food, so Lowlands Fire Food will be slinging wood-fired oven pizza on site using produce directly from the farm. Killdeer Food Co. will have gluten-free options and some desserts.

There is free admission for kids under 12 and there will be activities available to keep them off their screens and into their surroundings!

Bring your own water bottle to refill on-site, a blanket or chair to cosy into, and a flashlight for the walk back to your car under the stars. For those of you from London, there is a round-trip shuttle bus service available to add on to your ticket purchase.

The pie auction will be featuring delicious pies made from a variety of talented local pastry chefs, and any proceeds from both the auction and profit from the festival will go directly to Grace Café, the street mission here in St. Thomas.

Don’t forget this is still an operating farm, so of course wear sturdy shoes, bring bug spray, and expect to be enjoying nature at its finest! Hope to see you there!
