On Tuesday November 7th, staff at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital and the Foundation came together for “OUR United Way Day BBQ” to raise $2,500 for United Way supported agencies.
“It was a lot of fun to bring OUR STEGH colleagues together to support United Way and their local agencies,” explains Paul Jenkins, Executive Director, STEGH Foundation. “The BBQ was successful as many staff and community members came out for lunch. In addition, we had Farm Town Canada bring two of their goats for goat selfies. That was a big hit with everyone,” he adds.
In addition to Farm Town Canada, St. Thomas-Elgin Second Stage Housing and Mennonite Community Services representatives came out to promote their important work in the community. Our Hospital and the Foundation aim to work with partners to improve our community’s health and well-being, which is why we have partnered with United Way to help support important services our community members access.
The St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation continues the important work with our community partners to raise funds for patient care equipment – from monitors and beds, to equipment for procedures, and much more – supporting OUR Hospital is our top priority, and working with good community partners helps us succeed in carrying out our mission.
The community is invited to join with our good corporate citizens in support of the incredible transformations taking place at STEGH and in our community. There are many ways for individuals, businesses, and civic organizations to get involved and the best place to start is by visiting ItsOURHospital.ca.
