On September 8, 2018, nearly 700 kids ran, jumped, slid, and slipped their way through a muddy 1.5-kilometre obstacle course at Faith St. Thomas Church. This was St. Thomas / Elgin’s second annual Junior Jumbo Mud Challenge, growing significantly from the 550 kids registered its first year. Volunteers stood by to help kids age 4 to 14 through the more difficult challenges and keep the run moving smoothly, while the St. Thomas Fire Rescue made sure the track stayed nice and slippery. The mud challenge is a fundraiser for Bridges Out Of Poverty in St. Thomas.
